Fashion for a Cause 2015

Location: Villa Francia

If you have been following my blog for a while, you would know that this Fashion for a Cause is something that comes round every year and is an event I look forward to for a number of reasons. This is not only because I am drawn to all things fashion-oriented, but also because such an event is held in aid of the Young People’s Unit. I was pleased I could once again make it to this charitable fashion-related occasion, as it is a cause I truly believe in, that of helping young people under the age of 16 who are going through serious developmental problems. The location was once again Villa Francia and the show was followed by a very enjoyable networking reception.

Fashion for a Cause 2105 was made possible not only thanks to the sponsors (see later) but also due to an important collaboration, that between the Marigold Foundation (headed by the Prime Minister’s wife Mrs Michelle Muscat), and MYN (run by these three wonderful women: Marisa Grima, also the stylist for the show, together with Noelene Miggiani, who compered the show, and Yvonne Desira Buttigieg, who was responsible for the event coordination).

Onto the fashion show… the brands that took part were (in order of appearance): F&F; LIST (Roma); ALDO; Punt Roma; Massimo Dutti; Promod; Marks & Spencer; and Karen Millen. The event was also sponsored by: Villa Arrigo / Osborne Caterers; Diet Kinnie, Cisk, and M. Demajo; Bottega; Antonio Piscopo; and Make-up Studio. Make-up was by Shasha and hair by Toni & Guy.

Here are my favourite looks from the following stores (in order of appearance):

Marks and Spencer: the kaftans/kimonos, that blazer, an interesting denim dress, and the other two outfits that could be worn for many different events!

Karen Millen: the cropped blazer, the careful attention to detail in the dresses, that white waistcoat and pants, and that black&white piece!
