#ootd: Channeling Jackie O

Those of you who follow my blog know that I haven’t done outfit posts often up until recently thanks to words of encouragement and fashion week. A while ago I had written a post about my blogging motivations and directions, and I still believe what I stated back then. However, I recently thought about how I would like my blog to develop, and I have to admit that outfit posts are in part a remit of such blogs. I also realised that there are so many interesting looks and outfits to share with you readers! So, after some inward reflection, I ‘caved in’ to bring you readers some OOTD posts, for following me and reading on in spite of the absence of such postings.

This outfit was meant to be the first one, before the fashion week days, but somehow I did not get round to it then. Anyway, here it is now πŸ™‚ This was actually a spontaneous idea, as the photos were taken on my way out to dinner. The outfit in question I wore on a casual Monday evening (dinner at my parents’ to celebrate my birthday), but I ended up mixing casual with some Jackie O inspo, such as the white heels and the gold-button blazer. Spoiler: I’m not quite good at posing!

Style ideas: I would wear this outfit to a semi-casual work function, for everyday office-wear, and for work environments that merge formality with personal dash. For this type of outfit you will need: a denim shirt (lightwash preferably), a printed midi skirt or slightly above the knee, heels of a block colour that are not higher than these inches (one must be comfortable!), and a lightweight blazer of a similar colour as the base of the skirt. I wore my specs here to add that business/professional look (I wear specs anyway everyday as my eyesight is horrible; since I ordered a pair of Raybans I feel I don’t have to trade my glasses for lenses every time and neither should those of you who are in my situation – glasses are ‘in’ more than before and be proud that you are not ‘fake’ wearing them!)
