Dazzle this festive season with Sleek makeup

Hi there! Hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas! I spent some time trekking and swimming in Borneo, Malaysia, so watch out for travel posts to kick off 2017! Meanwhile, here is a review of some new Sleek makeup products I tried out while abroad. They were part of the Sleek giveaway I held a couple of weeks ago in collaboration with Paloma Cosmetics.

First up: Eyeshadow palette It’s ok if sometimes you’re take in by the design and packaging of a product, as long as what’s inside is good quality too. Well, that’s the case for the recently released Sleek eyeshadow palette which comes in 6 striking shades, offering you the possibility to dazzle and shine during the many Christmas season / New Year celebrations that you might have.

Next up, the purple lipstick : Lately I’ve attached myself to red shades of lipstick like a cub attaches itself to its mother. After hitting my 30s I found myself grabbing various products of different brands, with one denominator in common: red. That meant that 8/10 times I would choose this hue over others. Red gives confidence, dresses up any outfit, and makes lips look fuller. Then Sleek makeup released the Christmas collection which includes a dark rich purple shade. I could not resist trying it, particularly when you team up with Paloma Cosmetics, thanks to whom many women can enjoy this brand on our shores.

First impressions and suggestions: on application, it is soft to the touch. You can make it as strong a look as you wish or dab it with an applicator brush for a softer look. If you prefer a strong lip to striking eye makeup then this is an ideal lipstick. However it can also work well with a neutral smoky eye for that extra glam. I would combine it with the silvery shade of the Sleek Christmas palette. If you’re more daring this Christmas/New Year season, try it out with the green colour of the same palette. This would allow you to keep the rest of the look more understated whilst the makeup does all the talking. Dab some Sleek highlighter (of the same collection) on the cheekbones for that extra shine and you’re all set.

There you go! New Year’s makeup sorted!
